My Child has Hearing Loss, Now What? – Webinar
The Universal Newborn Hearing Screening Program is hosting a webinar with Dr. Michelle Hu (Mama Hu Hears), “My Child has Hearing Loss, Now What?” This webinar will be held on March 11th at 7PM. Registration is required. This webinar is focused on parents with children birth-three, but all are welcome.
Receiving a hearing loss diagnosis for your child can feel overwhelming, confusing, and isolating. This session is designed to meet parents exactly where they are, offering clarity, reassurance, and practical guidance for the early stages of the journey.
Led by pediatric audiologist and deaf adult Michelle Hu, this session blends professional expertise with lived experience. Michelle will share her personal story growing up as a DHH child, becoming an audiologist and being on both sides of the clinic. She will answer questions about what to expect after diagnosis, how to make sense of next steps, and how to support their child with confidence and care. Parents will leave feeling less alone, more informed, and better equipped to advocate for their child. This is a supportive, judgment-free space for questions, big feelings, and real-life concerns.
