In order to interact successfully, we must both have the tools to make ourselves understood and an understanding of how to apply what we know about conveying our wants and needs to the exchanges we have with others. This presentation will explore pragmatics, particularly its relevance for children who are deaf or hard of hearing or who have complex communication needs.
