Calvin Can’t Fly: ASL Storytelling & Theater Games (online)
Zoom workshop: Read along with Crom Saunders, in ASL! Theater games and ASL instruction provided!
Calvin is one unusual starling! While his siblings and cousins learn to fly, this rare bird buries his beak in a book.
Yet, when it comes time to migrate, poor Calvin realizes he cannot fly. His sisters, brothers, and cousins carry him into the air.
But on their way south, the winds blow hard, the trees bend, and the air starts to smell strange. It’s a hurricane, and only Calvin can save the day — because he has read all about it.
Join us for this interactive reading and workshop in ASL with Deaf storyteller Crom Saunders. This event will be accessible in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language! This workshop is open to all members of the signing community, but there's a fun surprise for the first 30 parents, guardians, or educators of Deaf or hard of hearing children to register, so sign up now!
