SUMMARY:College Application Workshop (virtual)
DESCRIPTION:Boston Children’s Hospital’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program is offering TWO virtual summer college application workshops facilitated by Harvard University undergraduate student and BCH intern\, Carly Gelles. Carly has been involved with the DHH community for the past 6 years and is passionate about making the college application process clearer and less overwhelming. Her workshops will cover a variety of topics including: an overview of the college application process\, how to write powerful college essays\, how to showcase your extracurriculars while highlighting your unique voice and story\, and more! The workshops will take place on Wednesday\, July 16 from 7-8pm\, and on Monday\, August 4\, from 6-7pm. To register and receive the zoom attendance link\, please email DHHPOutreach@childrens.harvard.edu with your name and which session you would like to attend. Please be sure to include any additional questions you would like submitted to Carly in advance to be covered during the session. ASL interpretation will be provided.

DESCRIPTION:Join the Discovery Museum for this special free evening for children and adults with disabilities or sensory sensitivities\, including those that are deaf\, blind\, or autistic. Enjoy a fun\, friendly experience in our accessible and universally designed Discovery Museum and Discovery Woods while exploring interactive exhibits and participating in hands-on activities. Any family that can benefit from a limited capacity visit is welcome at this event; a medical diagnosis is not required. \nThe Museum will be closed to the general public during the event. Dinner\, including a gluten-free option\, will be provided. Discovery Woods is closed for evening events in winter. \nASL interpretation may be available upon request; please indicate on the registration form if you would like interpretation at the event. All events are free\, but pre-registration is required as space is limited.

DESCRIPTION:Please join Boston Children’s Hospital’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program for a morning of outdoor sports for all ability levels with InclYOUsion Sports at Endicott Park in Danvers\, MA! This event will take place from 10:00 – 12:00 on Saturday\, August 23. Children ages 2-10 will cycle though sports stations facilitated by InclYOUsion Sports staff.
