SUMMARY:College Application Workshop (virtual)
DESCRIPTION:Boston Children’s Hospital’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program is offering TWO virtual summer college application workshops facilitated by Harvard University undergraduate student and BCH intern\, Carly Gelles. Carly has been involved with the DHH community for the past 6 years and is passionate about making the college application process clearer and less overwhelming. Her workshops will cover a variety of topics including: an overview of the college application process\, how to write powerful college essays\, how to showcase your extracurriculars while highlighting your unique voice and story\, and more! The workshops will take place on Wednesday\, July 16 from 7-8pm\, and on Monday\, August 4\, from 6-7pm. Enjoy a fun\, friendly experience in our accessible and universally designed Discovery Museum and Discovery Woods while exploring interactive exhibits and participating in hands-on activities. Any family that can benefit from a limited capacity visit is welcome at this event; a medical diagnosis is not required. \nThe Museum will be closed to the general public during the event. Dinner\, including a gluten-free option\, will be provided. Discovery Woods is closed for evening events in winter. \nASL interpretation may be available upon request; please indicate on the registration form if you would like interpretation at the event.
